Montenegro - Monte Negro - Black Mountain
Montenegro is a small Balkan country with rugged mountains, medieval villages and a narrow strip of beaches along its Adriatic coastline. The Bay of Kotor, resembling a fjord, is dotted with coastal churches and fortified towns such as Kotor and Herceg Novi. Durmitor National Park encompasses limestone peaks, glacial lakes, wildlife such as bears and wolves, and 1,300m-deep Tara River Canyon.

In July and August people pour into
Kotor and the yachts of the super-rich fill the marina, but this town
never gets quite as crowded as some other parts of the coast – this
sheltered arm of the bay just isn’t as appealing for swimming. But
anyone with a heart for romance, living history and architecture will
find Kotor a highlight of their Montenegrin travels.

Dubrovnik is a city in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea. It's known for its distinctive Old Town, encircled with massive stone walls completed in the 16th century. Its well-preserved buildings range from baroque St. Blaise Church to Renaissance Sponza Palace and Gothic Rector’s Palace, now a history museum. Paved with limestone, the pedestrianized Stradun (aka Placa) is lined with shops and restaurants.

Dubrovnik’s Old Town is completely surrounded by
enormous stone walls that date back to the 10th century. Up to 6m
(19ft) thick and 2.5m (8ft) high in places, Dubrovnik's Ancient City
Walls were built to protect the city and deter would-be invaders.

A Pilgrimage to Medugorje and Mostar ...

| Međugorje, or Medjugorje, is a town located in the Herzegovina Region , around 25 km (16 mi) southwest of Mostar and close to the border of Croatia. is part of Since 1981, it has become a popular site of Catholic pilgrimage due to reports of alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary. |

MYSTERY OF MEDJUGORJE RISEN CHRIST STATUE
With liquid dripping from one knee, the bronze sculpture of the Risen Christ has been a mystery in Medjugorje since 2001. While the nature of the liquid is itself mysterious, the mystery as such has just increased, for these days the unknown substance flows from both legs of the sculpture.
Mostar -
World Heritage Site
Mostar. This place includes the Slavic word "most", which means
'bridge'. Together with the ending, the whole name means something like keeper of the bridge.
This refers to the old bridge in centre of town built in the 16th
century, destroyed during the last war and recently rebuilt.
